Veg@table Compost Refill

After each harvest, the compost in the Veg@table pot will be exhausted. You can replace it with new, organic compost from the Veg@table Compost Refills. A refill contains enough compost to fill up 1 Veg@table pot and is ready for use. After the re-filling of the pot, you can return to work with the organic Veg@table seeds , hanging on the pot when you purchase it.

Veg@table Plant Rack

To complete the Veg@table experience, you can purchase the Veg@table Plant Rack. On this rack you can hang up to six pots. You can hang the rack both inside and outside in a place with enough natural light (if inside: out of direct sunlight). The Plant Rack measures 40 by 60 cm, and also includes four brackets and four plugs, in order to be able to hang it on the wall.

How does it work after purchase?

  1. Take, after purchasing the Veg@table, the lid of the pot so the plant can grow. Save this lid for further culture. Remove the bag of seeds from the pot and store it in a dry, cool place. Put the pot preferably outside, for optimal growth.

  2. Pour water into the pot regularly so it stays at a weight of about 1.4 kilos throughout the culture. CAUTION: Never pour water on the leaves themselves, just on the compost.

  3. When the crop is mature, you can directly pick your required number of leaves from the pot. The rest of the crop can stay in the compost, so it remains completely fresh. TIP: Always start at the bottom of the crop when picking leaves.

  4. If your pot is exposed to rainwater, push a hole in the bottom of the pot to let excessive water run out of it. For this purpose, there is a place on the bottom of the pot designated with "PUSH". CAUTION: Does not apply if you choose to grow the Veg@table inside.

  5. After each harvest, your compost will be exhausted. Therefore, renew the compost each time with a Veg@table Compost Refill.

How does it work? - Do it yourself

  1. Remove the old compost from the pot and fill it with the Veg@table Compost Refill.

  2. Insert a new seed about 2 millimeters deep into the new compost. !! Some Veg@table species have extremely tiny seeds, of which you have to plant 5 to 10 seeds in a hole (not spread in the compost). This is to ensure the growth of a full crop. !! With larger seeds is enough to use it to one seed.

  3. Moisten the compost with water regularly so to the pot weighs 1.4 KG throughout the culture and replace the lid on it, which was on the pot when purchasing the Veg@table.

  4. Place the pot indoors for 3 weeks, in a clear space at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. In full sunlight, it may get up to 40 to 50 ° C under the lid. The plant does need a lot of natural light but not too much heat.

  5. After +/- 3 weeks your plant will be strong enough to remove the lid from the pot and to place it outside. TIP: Hang it on the Veg@table Plant Rack to create your own vertical garden.

  6. When the crop is mature, you can directly pick your required number of leaves from the pot. The rest of the crop can stay in the compost, so it remains completely fresh. TIP: Always start at the bottom of the crop when picking leaves.

  7. If your pot is exposed to rainwater, push a hole in the bottom of the pot to let excessive water run out of it. For this purpose, there is a place on the bottom of the pot designated with "PUSH". CAUTION: Does not apply if you choose to grow the Veg@table inside.

  8. After each harvest your compost will be exhausted. Therefore, renew the compost each time with a Veg@table Compost Refill.

The Veg@table leafy vegetables and organic herbs will go into production from April onwards.
